Ministry of Mines is organising critical minerals summit in New Delhi from 30 April 2024

Current Context: The Ministry of Mines, in collaboration with several organizations, is holding the “Critical Minerals Summit: Enhancing Beneficiation and Processing Capabilities” from April 29th to April 30th, 2024, in New Delhi.

• The summit aims to foster collaboration, share knowledge, and drive innovation in the field of critical mineral beneficiation and processing.
• It will bring together various stakeholders to engage in dialogue and workshops focused on critical issues such as mineral auction progress, policy incentives for CRM ecosystem development, and sustainable solutions.
• The summit will also feature technical sessions on eight key minerals.
• The goal is to accelerate the domestic production of CRMs, supporting India’s economic growth and sustainability objectives.
• The Ministry of Mines and Shakti Sustainable Energy Foundation have also signed an MoU to facilitate knowledge exchange regarding critical minerals.
