World Hepatitis Summit 2024

Current Context: The World Hepatitis Summit 2024 is scheduled to take place from 9th to 11th April in Lisbon, Portugal.

• This summit is the only global hepatitis conference that focuses on a multi-stakeholder, multi-sector public health approach.
• It brings together diverse participants, including policy makers, academics, private sector representatives, and civil society, with the aim of making hepatitis elimination a reality.
• The theme for the 2024 summit is "Integrate, Accelerate, Eliminate".
• The summit provides an opportunity for attendees to network with peers and experts from over 100 countries, engage with speakers from within and beyond the hepatitis space, participate in interactive workshops, and learn from best practices.
• The World Health Organization (WHO) will also hold several key sessions during the summit, as well as a pre-summit workshop focusing on country experiences in eliminating viral hepatitis as a public health threat.
• The summit is organized by the World Hepatitis Alliance with the support of the Ministry of Health of Portugal.
• It’s an important event to understand the global effort in eliminating viral hepatitis as a public health threat and provides an opportunity to connect with people in various community organizations.
