Current Context: The Appointments Committee of the Cabinet (ACC) approved the five Secretary-level appointments on Monday, May 27, 2024.

  • Here are the details:
    • Pradip Kumar Tripathi (IAS): Appointed as Secretary to the Lokpal till his superannuation on June 30, 2024, and thereafter on a contract basis for two years. He is a 1987-batch Indian Administrative Service (IAS) officer of AGMUT cadre.
    • Raj Kumar Goyal (IAS): Appointed as Secretary in the Department of Justice under the Ministry of Law & Justice. He is a 1990-batch IAS officer of AGMUT cadre.
    • Amit Yadav (IAS): Appointed as Officer on Special Duty (OSD) in the Department of Social Justice & Empowerment in the rank and pay of Secretary to the Government of India. He is a 1991-batch IAS officer of AGMUT cadre.
    • Rajendra Kumar (IAS): Appointed as Secretary in the Department of Border Management under the Ministry of Home Affairs. He is a 1992-batch IAS officer of Tamil Nadu cadre.
    • Rakesh Ranjan (IAS): Appointed as Chairman of Staff Selection Commission (SSC) in the rank and pay of Secretary to the Government of India. He is a 1992-batch IAS officer of Manipur cadre.
