Current Context: Indian chess player Vaishali Rameshbabu was officially bestowed the title of Grandmaster (GM) by the International Chess Federation (FIDE) on May 1, 2024.

  • Vaishali’s chess career includes victories in the Girls’ World Youth Chess Championship for Under-12s in 2012 and Under-14s in 2015, and she received the Woman International Master (WIM) title in 2016 and became a Woman Grandmaster (WGM) in 2018.
