RailTel and Quadrant Future Tek signed MoU to implement KAVACH Globally

Current Context: On May 1, 2024, RailTel Corporation of India Limited and Quadrant Future Tek Limited signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) at the RailTel Corporate Office in New Delhi.

• This strategic partnership aims to explore and implement the indigenous automatic train protection system, KAVACH, within India and in various global markets.
• KAVACH, developed by the Research Design and Standards Organisation (RDSO) in collaboration with the Indian industry, is designed to prevent train collisions, enhancing passenger and freight train safety.
• Quadrant Future Tek Limited, which is in the final stages of approval by the RDSO as an Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) for the KAVACH project, will collaborate exclusively with RailTel to deliver specific projects related to KAVACH.
• This initiative aims to improve the safety standards of Indian Railways and position the Indian ATP system as a viable export to other countries, promoting international safety and technological exchange.
