Current Context: The Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS) and Govind Ballabh Pant University of Agriculture and Technology (GBPUAT) have partnered to advance Indian agriculture.
BIS and GBPUAT Sign MoU for India’s First Standardized Agricultural Demonstration Farm
  • On July 24, 2024, the two institutions signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to establish India’s first ‘Standardized Agriculture Demonstration Farm’ (SADF) in Pantnagar, Uttarakhand, India.
  • This collaboration aims to integrate Indian Standards, benefit farmers, and advance agricultural innovation.
  • The SADFs at GBPUAT will serve as experimental sites for testing and implementing various agricultural practices and new technologies by Indian Standards.
