Current Context: On 24th July 2024, The Centre for Development of Telematics (C-DOT), along with the Indian Institute of Technology Roorkee (IIT Roorkee) and Indian Institute of Technology Mandi (IIT Mandi), has signed an agreement for the development of ‘Cell-Free’ 6G Access Points.
C-DOT has partnered with IIT Roorkee and IIT Mandi to develop 'Cell-Free' 6G access points
  • This innovative approach eliminates traditional cellular boundaries by deploying multiple access points across a wide area, ensuring ubiquitous connectivity, enhanced signal strength, and faster data speeds.
