Current Context: The Haryana Cabinet has given the green light to launch the IT Saksham Yuva Scheme, 2024, with the goal of providing jobs to 5,000 youths in its initial phase.

  • This scheme aligns with the ‘Mission 60,000’, which aims to offer employment opportunities to at least 60,000 young individuals from economically disadvantaged backgrounds.
  • Under this initiative:
    • Eligible candidates must be graduates or postgraduates with an IT background.
    • They will undergo a three-month IT training program.
    • Upon completion, they will be deployed in various departments, boards, corporations, districts, registered societies, or private entities in Haryana.
    • Initially, they will receive a monthly remuneration of ₹20,000, which will increase to ₹25,000 after six months.
    • If not deployed, the state government will provide an unemployment allowance of ₹10,000 per month.
