Current Context: On September 11, the Union Cabinet approved the fourth phase of the Pradhan Mantri Gramin Sadak Yojana (PMGSY-IV). This phase will be implemented from FY 2024-25 to 2028-29 with a total outlay of ₹70,125 crore.

    • Use of advanced technologies like Cold Mix Technology, Waste Plastic, and Full Depth Reclamation for road construction.
    • Integration with the PM Gati Shakti portal for efficient planning and implementation.
    • This initiative aims to enhance rural connectivity, thereby supporting socio-economic development in remote areas.
