India's 1st 'Writer's village' has been inaugurated in Dehradun

Current Context: India's first 'Writer's village' was indeed inaugurated in Dehradun on October 25, 2024. This unique village is located in Thano village, about 24 km from Dehradun.

• This project is the brainchild of former Chief Minister Ramesh Pokhriyal Nishank, himself a distinguished writer.
• He believes that this village will offer the necessary calm and creative atmosphere for writers to produce their best work.
