Current Context: On July 22, 2025, Minister of State for Finance Pankaj Chaudhary informed the Rajya Sabha that Gross NPAs of Public Sector Banks dropped from 9.11% (₹6.17 lakh crore) in March 2021 to 2.58% (₹2.84 lakh crore) in March 2025.
