  • On 22 August 2025, Akums Drugs and Pharmaceuticals Ltd. and the Government of the Republic of Zambia (GRZ) announced a Joint Venture (JV). The JV will set up a pharmaceutical facility in Lusaka South Multi Facility Economic Zone, with Akums holding 51% stake. It will manufacture tablets, capsules, injectables, liquids, and beta-lactam products, starting operations by FY28 Q3.

  • On 25 August 2025, India signed a Letter of Intent (LoI) with the United Nations World Food Programme (UN WFP) to combat global hunger.
