  • On September 4, 2025, NITI Aayog’s Frontier Tech Hub (FTH) released the 4th Quarterly Insights – Future Front titled “Introduction to 2D Materials”, in collaboration with Indian Institute of Science (IISc), Bengaluru. 2D materials are atomically thin, yet 200× stronger than steel and conduct electricity better than copper, making them ideal for semiconductors, quantum tech, and clean energy.

  • On 3 September 2025, SEBI approved the transfer of a 60% controlling stake in Invesco Mutual Fund to IndusInd International Holdings Ltd (IIHL). The deal includes change in control of Invesco Asset Management Company and its Portfolio Management Services (PMS) business. IIHL will invest via its Mauritius-based arm IIHL AMC Holdings Ltd, formed for this acquisition.
  • Axis Bank Launches ‘Sparsh Week 2025’ – Theme: Raise the Bar Held from September 1 to 5, 2025, across 5,868 branches, focusing on customer experience and employee engagement. Anchored on four principles: Own the Brand, Own the Customer, Act with Speed, and Zero Pendency. Special offers included home loans, gold loans, Demat accounts, and outreach events like Samaroh and Let’s Listen.

  • On September 4, 2025, the Department for Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade (DPIIT) signed an MoU with Pfizer Limited in New Delhi. The aim is to accelerate India’s lab-to-market journey for healthcare startups through financial and incubation support. Pfizer’s INDovation Program will support 14 MedTech startups with ₹60 lakh grants and a tailored 18-month incubation via Social Alpha.

  • Israel launched spy satellite ‘Ofek 19’ on Sept 2, 2025, from Palmachim Airbase to boost Middle-East surveillance. Built by Israel Aerospace Industries, it uses SAR tech for high-res imaging in all conditions. Operated by IDF’s Unit 9900, it supports real-time military intelligence and strategic monitoring.
  • TESS Mission Discovers Rocky Exoplanets TOI-2322 b & TOI-2322 c Announced in early September 2025, NASA’s Transiting Exoplanet Survey Satellite (TESS) found two rocky planets orbiting TOI-2322, a K-type star 195 light-years away. TOI-2322 b is Earth-sized with an 11-day orbit; TOI-2322 c is nearly twice as wide and 18 times Earth’s mass, with Earth-like internal structure.
