  • Kongsberg Maritime signed a contract on September 7, 2025, for India’s first electric tug. The tug will operate at Deendayal Port in Gujarat under the Green Tug Transition Programme.   • India launched UPI–UPU integration on September 8, 2025, at the Universal Postal Congress in Dubai. It connects India’s UPI with UPU’s platform to enable fast, low-cost global remittances. MoUs:
  • On September 9, 2025, Coal India Ltd (CIL) and NSTFDC (National Scheduled Tribes Finance and Development Corporation) signed an MoU in New Delhi. The aim is to empower 30,000+ tribal students across 76 Eklavya Model Residential Schools (EMRS) in 4 states. Support includes desktops, tablets, mentorship, menstrual hygiene units, and teacher training.
  • On September 9, 2025, iDEX-DIO (Innovations for Defence Excellence – Defence Innovation Organisation) and EdCIL (Educational Consultants India Ltd) signed an MoU in New Delhi. The aim is to develop dual-use technologies under the ASPIRE program (Accelerating Strategic Progress in Research and Education). Focus areas include AI tools, cybersecurity, simulation modules, and digital learning infrastructure.
  • On September 6, 2025, an MoU was signed in New Delhi for Bhutan’s 570 MW Wangchhu Hydropower Project. It was inked between Adani Power and Bhutan’s Druk Green Power Corporation (DGPC).   • India will host its first-ever IRONMAN 5150 Triathlon in Chennai, Tamil Nadu on January 11, 2026. The Olympic-distance event includes a 1.5 km swim, 40 km cycle, and 10 km run. Supported by ₹3 crore from the TN government, it will be held at MGM Beach Resort, ECR.
