MoRD Signs MoU for DAY-NRLM Support

Current Context: On 19 September 2025, the Ministry of Rural Development (MoRD) signed five Memoranda of Understanding (MoUs) at the National Rural Livelihoods Mission (NRLM) Conference Hall, New Delhi.

• The agreements were with the National Institute of Rural Development and Panchayati Raj (NIRD&PR), Hyderabad and the State Rural Livelihoods Missions (SRLMs) of Andhra Pradesh, Bihar, Jharkhand, and Telangana.
• The aim is to strengthen the Deendayal Antyodaya Yojana – National Rural Livelihoods Mission (DAY‑NRLM) through training, leadership development, and digital innovations.
• Key highlights include capacity building of SRLM staff and community cadres, creation of multi‑thematic resource persons, and documentation of best practices.
• A major focus is on the LokOS digital platform to improve Self‑Help Group (SHG) governance and financial integration.
