Current Context: On 1 Oct 2025, the Hurun India Rich List crowned Mukesh Ambani (Reliance, ₹9.55 lakh cr) as India’s richest, reclaiming the top spot despite a 6% dip in wealth.

 

• Gautam Adani ranked 2nd with ₹8.14 lakh cr (30% fall), while Roshni Nadar Malhotra (HCL Tech, ₹2.84 lakh cr) became India’s richest woman and entered the top three.
• The top 10 also featured Cyrus Poonawalla, Kumar Mangalam Birla, Niraj Bajaj, Dilip Shanghvi, Azim Premji, Gopichand Hinduja, and Radhakishan Damani.
• Shah Rukh Khan debuted as a billionaire with ₹12,490 cr, and Aravind Srinivas (Perplexity AI, 31 yrs) became the youngest billionaire.
