National:
  • On 26 Nov 2025, the Union Cabinet approved two PM-Gati Shakti railway multi-tracking projects. These include Okha–Kanalus Doubling (141 km, Gujarat) and Badlapur–Karjat 3rd & 4th line (32 km, Maharashtra). The projects cost ₹2,781 crore and will add 224 km to the rail network. They aim to boost freight capacity (+18 MTPA) and ease passenger congestion across both states.

  • On 27 Nov 2025, the India Global Forum (IGF) launched a United States Dollar (USD) 250 million fund. It aims to help Indian brands expand globally, using Dubai as the hub. The fund is backed by Ved Family Office (VFO) and Ananta Capital (AC). Focus sectors include Food & Beverage (F&B), consumer goods, chemicals, automobile industry, and advanced manufacturing.
  • On 26 Nov 2025, the Union Cabinet approved a ₹7,280‑crore scheme for Rare Earth Permanent Magnets. It aims to set up 6,000 MTPA integrated capacity to cut import dependence. The scheme supports EVs, renewable energy, aerospace, defence, and electronics industries. It boosts self-reliance, Atmanirbhar Bharat, and Net Zero 2070 commitments.
Banking:
  • On 25 Nov 2025, the Reserve Bank of India (RBI) granted post facto approval to Foreign Portfolio Investor (FPI) 1729 Capital. It regularized the acquisition of a 7.14% stake in Suryoday Small Finance Bank (SFB). Earlier restriction limiting voting rights below 5% was removed with this approval. The nod is subject to the Banking Regulation Act, 1949, Foreign Exchange Management Act (FEMA), 1999, and Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI) Regulations.
Sports:
  • On 23 November 2025, Italy defeated Spain 2–0 in Bologna to clinch the Davis Cup Final 2025, the premier team event in tennis. With this victory, Italy secured its fourth Davis Cup title after earlier wins in 1976, 2023, and 2024. The triumph also marked a historic three-peat, making Italy the first nation since the USA in 1972 to achieve this feat.
Military Exercises:
  • The 8th India–France Bilateral Air Exercise ‘Garuda 25’ was held in France from 16–27 Nov 2025. The Indian Air Force (IAF) participated with Su-30MKI jets, IL-78 refuellers, and C-17 Globemaster III. The French Air and Space Force (FASF) deployed Rafale and Mirage 2000 fighters. Aim: To boost interoperability, air combat skills, and strategic defence partnership between India and France.

  • National Milk Day 2025 was observed on 26 November to mark the birth anniversary of Dr. Verghese Kurien, the Father of India’s White Revolution. It was organized by the Department of Animal Husbandry & Dairying along with dairy cooperatives. Theme: “Empowering Farmers, Ensuring Nutrition, and Building a Sustainable Dairy Future.”
  • On 25 Nov 2025, the world observed the International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women. It was established by the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA) in 2000 through Resolution A/RES/54/134. The 2025 theme was “UNiTE to End Digital Violence against Women and Girls.”
Appointments:
  • On 25 Nov 2025, the International Cricket Council (ICC) named Rohit Sharma as Brand Ambassador. He will represent the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2026, hosted by India and Sri Lanka. Rohit is the 2024 T20 World Cup–winning captain and has played in all nine editions since 2007. This marks the first time an active cricketer has been chosen as ICC Brand Ambassador.
