23rd edition of BioAsia 2026 international summit

Current Context: The 23rd edition of BioAsia was held on 17–18 February 2026 at the HITEX Exhibition Centre, Hyderabad. It was organised by the Government of Telangana with global industry partners.

• The theme was “TechBio Unleashed: AI, Automation & the Biology Revolution.”
• The summit was inaugurated by CM A. Revanth Reddy and Minister D. Sridhar Babu, with leadership from Shakthi M. Nagappan (CEO, Telangana Life Sciences).
• The aim was to establish India as a hub for next-gen therapies, integrate AI into drug discovery, and position Hyderabad as a premier GCC destination.
• Highlights included participation of 4,500 delegates from 50+ countries, unveiling of the Next Gen Life Sciences Policy (2026–30) targeting $25B investment, and the Genome Valley Excellence Award to Prof. Bruce L. Levine.
• Major announcements came from Novartis (25 years in India), Opella Healthcare (France), and Vaksindo (Indonesia) with new investment plans.
