  • Rajasthan is India’s largest wool producer, contributing nearly 47.5% of national output. In FY24, the state produced about 16,013.50 thousand kg of wool, the highest in the country. Jammu & Kashmir ranked second (23.06%), followed by Gujarat, Maharashtra, and Himachal Pradesh.

  • On 9 February 2026, India and Greece signed a Joint Declaration of Intent in New Delhi to strengthen defence industrial cooperation. The pact focuses on joint R&D, co‑production, and technology transfer, aligning India’s Aatmanirbhar Bharat with Greece’s Agenda 2030.
  • Aditya Pandya, aged 17, has become India’s youngest male analog astronaut after completing an 8‑day lunar habitat simulation. MoUs:
  • On 9 February 2026 in New Delhi, the Indian Pharmacopoeia Commission (IPC) signed three MoUs. Partners were Goa State Pharmacy Council (GSPC), Quality Council of India (QCI), and HLL Infra Tech Services Ltd. (HITES).   • On 8 February 2026, Services defeated Kerala 1‑0 in the Santosh Trophy final at Dhakuakhana Stadium, Assam. Abhishek Pawar scored the winning goal in the 109th minute of extra time. With this, Services clinched their 8th Santosh Trophy title, equalling Kerala’s tally.
