  • Around 17–20 June 2026, the MoPNG approved ₹150 crore assistance under PM JI‑VAN Yojana for India’s first private‑sector hybrid 2G ethanol project. Developed by Spray Engineering Devices Ltd (SED) at Wave Sugar Mill, Dhanaura (U.P.), with 91 KLPD capacity. It integrates biomass gasification (Ankur Scientific) + advanced gas fermentation (LanzaTech) to convert bagasse & agri residues into ethanol.

  • On 19 June 2026, FM Nirmala Sitharaman inaugurated the largest organic spice processing unit in Northeast India at Bhoirymbong/Lumdaitkhla, Ri‑Bhoi (Meghalaya). The ₹32 crore facility, supported by Meghalaya govt, MBMA & FPOs, can process 10,000 MT annually of Lakadong turmeric, ginger, black pepper & chili.
  • The Ministry of Defence has granted working permission to the Musi Riverfront Development Corporation (MRDC) for 83.814 acres of defence land (valued at ~₹533 crore) at the Artillery Centre, Golconda, for the Gandhi Sarovar Project at Bapu Ghat.

  • On 19 June 2026, the RBI raised the limit for collateral‑free agricultural loans (including allied activities) from ₹1.6 lakh to ₹2 lakh per borrower. Banks must waive collateral security & margin requirements, easing credit access for small & marginal farmers amid rising input costs.
  • On 19 June 2026, Zerodha Fund House launched India’s first target‑date Lifecycle Mutual Funds — 2036 & 2041 series. These funds follow a glide path, starting with higher equity allocation and gradually shifting to debt, gold & silver as the target year nears.
  • On 20–21 June 2026, Punjab National Bank (PNB) partnered with Zaggle to launch biodegradable co‑branded twin credit cards.
