India & Saudi Arabia Sign MoU to Strengthen Cooperation in Water Resources

 Current Context: India and Saudi Arabia signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on 29 June 2026 during Saudi Water Week held in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. 



  • The MoU was signed by Dr. Suhel Khan (India's Ambassador to Saudi Arabia) and Eng. Abdulrahman Abdulmohsen Al-Fadley (Saudi Minister of Environment, Water and Agriculture).
  • It aims to strengthen bilateral cooperation in water resources management.
  • The agreement promotes sustainable water management, water resource planning, and improved irrigation systems.
  • It also focuses on technical cooperation, knowledge sharing, capacity building, and long-term water security.
