Current Context: On 17 August 2026, SEBI Chairman Tuhin Kanta Pandey launched two portals, the SEBI Incident Reporting Portal and Cyber Suraksha Portal, to strengthen cybersecurity and information sharing across India’s securities market.

  • SEBI Incident Reporting Portal: Helps regulated entities report cyber incidents in a more structured, timely and actionable manner.
  • The portal is aligned with the Financial Stability Board’s Format for Incident Reporting Exchange (FIRE) to improve consistency in cyber-incident reporting.
  • Cyber Suraksha Portal: Acts as a central platform for sharing cybersecurity knowledge, vulnerability warnings, policy measures and incident insights.
  • Objective: To improve cyber preparedness, information sharing and coordinated response to cyber threats across the securities market.
  • The initiatives were announced during SEBI’s Symposium on Cyber Defence.
