About IOC Ethics Commission
The IOC Ethics Commission is charged with defining and updating a framework of ethical principles, including a Code of Ethics, based upon the values and principles enshrined in the Olympic Charter of which the said Code forms an integral part.
- It was as created in 1999 by the International Olympic Committee (IOC) in order to safeguard the ethical principles of the Olympic Movement.
- It is made up of nine members
- The Chair, Vice-Chair and members of the Ethics Commission are elected by the IOC Session, for a renewable term of four years.
