Japan has launched fourth satellite for a new high-precision global positioning system (GPS).
- It aims to encourage new businesses and help spur economic growth.
- The fourth Michibiki satellite was launched from Japan’s southern Tanegashima spaceport
- Japan plans to have seven of the geo-positioning satellites in orbit by 2023.
- The first satellite was put into orbit in 2010
- Third and fourth are expected to be launched by March 2018 to start the service.
