Bollywood diva, Anushka Sharma who has recently married cricketer Virat Kohli, has been named PETA Person of the Year Award for helping to protect dogs from fireworks.
She was appreciated for raising her voice for the horses who are forced to pull carriages in Mumbai.

To protect animals from cruelty she launched her cruelty-free NUSH clothing line. She frequently visits animal shelters and promotes her ideas on social media.
