Taj Mahal Second Best UNESCO World Heritage Site

One of the seven wonders of the world and the symbol of eternal love Taj Mahal is UNESCO's second-best World Heritage Site in India.


  • The ranking is given as the result of the survey conducted by published by TripAdvisor
  • Cambodia's Angkor Wat is placed at number one.
  • Great Wall of China built by Xu Da of Northern Qi Dynasty in 1368 AD has also been included in the list.
  • Iguazu National Park in Brazil, Italy’s Sassi of Matera, Auschwitz Birkenau and historic Krakow in Poland, the old city of Jerusalem in Israel and the historic areas of Istanbul in Turkey have also made to the list.

Taj Mahal is one of the seven wonders of the world and the building of white marble presents a scenic beauty to the visitors. Mughal emperor Shah Jahan built this in the memory of his wife Mumtaz Mahal thus it is considered as the monument of love. Taj Mahal records  8 million visitors per year.
