3rd Edition of Geo Political Conference, Raisina Dialogue Inaugurated

The third edition of the Raisina Dialogue was held in New Delhi.
It was inaugurated by Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu on the 16th of January. 

• The theme of Raisina Dialogue for this year is ‘Managing Disruptive Transitions - Ideas, Institutions and Idioms.’
• PM Modi and External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj attended the inaugural session of the three-day event.
• Netanyahu said that the alliance of democracies is important to tackle terrorism.

Raisina Dialogue

The Raisina Dialogue is a multilateral conference held annually in New Delhi since 2016.

• The conference is jointly hosted by the Observer Research Foundation and Ministry of External Affairs of India.
• It is designed on the lines of Singapore's Shangri-La Dialogue.
• The name of the conference comes from Raisina Hill which is the elevation in New Delhi where the presidential palace of India, Rashtrapati Bhavan is located.
