About Pratibha Patil
- She was born in Jalgaon on 19th December, 1934 where she received her early education.
- She even attained her Master’s degree in Political science and Economics from Jalgaon only.
- Patil started her professional career as a practicing lawyer at the Jalgaon District court.
- She devoted herself to the social activities and upliftment of the poor and weaker sections of the society.
- She served as a Member of Parliament in the Rajya Sabha from 1985 to 1990 and was later elected as the MP to Lok Sabha in 1991.
- She held positions as Governor and Deputy Chairman of Rajya Sabha.
- On 25th July, 2007 she was elected as the First Women President of India
