Vodafone India has partnered with e-commerce marketplace Flipkart to provide a range of entry-level smartphones at an effective price of Rs 999.
- This is an initiative to make the 4G smartphones available at affordable prices thus democratising access to Vodafone SuperNet 4G.
- This will help in fulfilling the aspirations of several million phone users across the country who desire a smartphone but couldn’t afford one.
- It will also encourage current non-users of 4G to upgrade and enjoy a richer user experience with Vodafone SuperNet 4G.
Highlights of the offer
- As part of the tie-up, Vodafone has rolled out cash-back offers on select range of entry-level 4G smartphone models available under Flipkart’s #MyFirst4GSmartphone campaign.
- To avail the offer the customers need to have a recharge done of at least Rs 150 per month for 36 months.
- The Pre-paid customers of Vodafone purchasing any of the eligible entry-level smartphones on Flipkart will be eligible for the cash-back offer.
- At the end of first 18 months, customers will receive a cashback of Rs 900 and Rs 1100 after another 18 months. Thus the customers will be getting a total cash back of Rs 2000 divided into two time periods of 18 months.
- The cashback will be credited to Vodafone M-Pesa wallets.
- Smartphone models from brands such as Micromax, iVoomi, Yu Televentures, Xolo, Intex, Swipe, and Alcatel are eligible for the Vodafone offer.
- The offer is valid from 24th January up to 31st March 2018 and the customers are required to have a valid Vodafone prepaid SIM card to avail the offer.
- Earlier similar offers have been given by various companies. Bharti Airtel and BSNL also brought their effective price-carrying smartphone versions.
- In December 2017, Airtel partnered with Intex to launch the Intex Aqua Lions N1 for an effective price of Rs. 1,649 under its ‘Mera Pehla Smartphone’ initiative.
- In October 2017, BSNL brought the Micromax Bharat 1 as a rival against Rs. 999 Jio Phone.
- Vodafone has been offering cash back on a lot of entry-level smartphones since last year.
