CBSE to conduct two-level exams for Class 10th Mathematics and English in which 20 marks internal exam will be conducted by respective schools and 80 marks will be given to theory conducted by the board.

Details:

  • The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) will be conducting two-level exams for class 10th Mathematics and English papers from 2020 onwards.
  • The circular has been sent to schools with proper guidelines and will be implemented from the board in 2020.
  • According to a notice accessed by the indianexpress.com, a total of 20 marks will be assigned for school-based assessment in each of the exams.
  • In order to be considered for the board exams, students will have to clear the school-based exams first.
  • CSBE called the move 'learner-centric' and said that the need for school-based 'internal assessments' is increasing.
