- The flagship project aims to enhance India's capacity for forest landscape restoration (FLR).
- The Bonn Challenge is a global effort to bring 150 million hectares of the world's deforested and degraded land under restoration by 2020 and 350 million hectares by 2030.

- UNCCD aims to combat desertification and mitigate the effects of drought through national action programs that incorporate long-term strategies supported by international cooperation and partnership arrangements.
- It was drafted on 17th June 1994 and was signed into effect on 14th October 1994.
- There are 197 parties to it (196 states + the European Union).
