- The scheme is an initiative of British Council India and Universities UK International (UUKI).
- This will support Britain’s universities to send UK students to India by collaborating with Indian partners during their studies.
- The programme aims to give opportunities to visit India, to about 200 undergraduate students at UK universities by March 2021.
- Priority will be given to traditionally underrepresented groups of students to visit India during their courses.
- The Study in India programme will support the objective of increasing the levels of outward student mobility from the UK to India to 13% by 2020 as per the UUKi's “Go International: Stand Out” campaign.
