  • Japanese Ship, JS Sazanami, the fourth vessel of the Takanami class destroyers of the Japan Maritime Self-Defense Force (JMSDF) commanded by Commander Shoji Ishkawa visited Kochi on a 2-day goodwill visit from August 13 to 19, 2019.
  • National Payment Corporation of India (NPCI) stated Aadhaar enabled Payment System (AePS) crosses 200million transactions valuing to Rs 9685.35 crore in July 2019. AePS count raised to 220.18 million. AePS is moving towards financial inclusions through 4A’s AUTHENTICATION OF CLIENT, ACCESSIBILITY OF SERVICES, and AVAILABILITY THROUGH AePS channel, AFFORDABILITY AS IT’s free of cost to the customers.

  • RBI changed ATM transaction counting rules.Transaction Failure due to technical problems won’t be counted as part of five transaction. Non cash transactions like pin change, balance enquire and chequebook request etc also won’t be counted in 5 monthly transactions.
