  • IAF Air Marshal Rakesh Kumar Singh Bhadauria has succeeded Air Chief Marshal B.S. Dhanoa.
  • He was commissioned in the fighter stream of the Indian Air Force in June 1980.
  • He won the ‘Sword of Honour’ for standing first in the overall order of merit in 1980.
  • He discovered a technique of bombing from the Jaguar aircraft using the Global Positioning System (GPS).
  • Air Marshal Bhadauria is among the few Air Force pilots to fly a Rafale jet during Exercise Garuda between the Air Forces of India and France.
