- India has won the SAFF Under-18 Football Championship 2019 by defeating Bangladesh which was held in Kathmandu.
- India along with 20 other countries signed an agreement at the United Nations to stop the spread of fake news on-line, which was initiated by Reporters Without Borders (RSF), a press freedom watchdog. The aim of the agreement is to underline the responsibility of internet providers to promote trustworthy content.
