  • The Vice President of India, Shri M Venkaiah Naidu inaugurated the ‘International Conference on Ions’ at CSIR– National Environmental Engineering Research Institute (NEERI) in Nagpur on 31st October 2019 to promote clean and renewable sources of energy.
  • Indian Railways has adopted the e-office system under its e-Office implementation which is a Mission Mode Project (MMP) under the National e-Governance Programme of the Government of India. It aims to usher in paperless, more efficient, effective inter and intra government processes and transactions.
  • Bangladesh will hold the first phase of Bishwa Ijtema (the second largest congregation of Muslim community after Hajj) from 10th to 12th January in 2020 in Dhaka. The 2nd Phase of the Ijtema will be held from 17th to 19th January 2020. The Bishwa Ijtema is held in Dhaka since 1967.
