  • The 3rd India-Australia Secretary-level 2+2 Dialogue was held in New Delhi on 9th Dec 19 and the delegation was led by Dr Ajay Kumar, Defence Secretary (India), Vijay Gokhale, Foreign Secretary (India) and Greg Moriarty, Defence Secretary (Australia), Frances Adamson, Foreign Secretary (Australia).
  • The Union Minister of State for Culture and Tourism (IC), Shri Prahlad Singh Patel launched the Indian Culture web portal on 10th Dec 19 in New Delhi. Indian culture portal is the first government authorized portal where knowledge and cultural resources of various organizations of Ministry of Culture will be available in public domain on a single platform.

  • Minister of external affairs has announced that in order to enhance security features to identify fake passport, the government has decided to add national symbol on Passport on a rotation basis, starting by adding Lotus (National Flower of India). This feature is added as per ICAO (International Civil Aviation Organisation) guidelines.
  • Bharat Bond ETF (Exchange Trade Fund) which is India’s first corporate Bond ETF, opened for subscription on 12th Dec 19. It is a basket of bonds issued by Central Public sector enterprises (CPSEs), Central Public sector undertaking, Central Public financial institutions (CPFIs). Edelweiss Asset Management Company will manage and design the product.
