- The first edition of Mandu Festival has begun in Mandu, picturesque fort city of Madhya Pradesh on 28th Dec 19. Madhya Pradesh Tourism Board has organised the event to celebrate the historic heritage blended with the modern vibrancy of the city culture.
- Tropical Cyclone Sarai pounded the South Pacific nation Fiji, with wind gusts strengthening to 150 kilometres per hour during the day. It is a category two tropical cyclone and heavy rain and a flash flood warning has been issued for the entire country.
- China will revise its historical regional GDP data under a unified accounting mechanism from 2020. The new mechanism will unify the standards and procedures for calculating national and local GDP numbers. The step is taken as the Chinese economy grew at an annual pace of 6% in the July-September quarter, the slowest growth since 1992.
