- The 54th DGsP/IGsP Conference was held in Pune on 7th and 8th December 2019. The Prime Minister awarded the President’s police medals for distinguished service to officers of the Intelligence Bureau in the conference.
- The Human Library event that seeks to replace books with humans, will be held in the City of Palaces, Mysuru on 8th Dec 19. The Library aims to create a safe framework for conservation by using a library analogy of lending people rather than books.
- West Indies defeated India by 8 wickets in the second T-20 match played at Thiruvananthpuram.
- Anthony Joshua of Britain reclaimed his world heavyweight crown from Andy Ruiz. He regained his IBF, WBA and WBO titles after winning the crown at Ad Diriyah in Saudi Arabia.
- The National Film Awards of Bangladesh for the years 2017 and 2018 were given away by Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina in Dhaka. The Lifetime Achievement Award was given to Bangladesh ATM Shamsuzzaman, Prabir Mitra, Alamgir and Sujata.
