November GST Revenue Collection

Current context: Rs 1,03,492 crore is the amount of gross GST revenue collected in the month of November, 2019.

• Out of the total revenue collection:

1. CGST is Rs 19,592crore
2. SGST is Rs 27,144crore
3. IGST is Rs 49,028crore (including Rs 20,948crore collected on imports)
4. Cess is Rs7,727 crore (including Rs 869 crore collected on imports)

• The total revenue earned by Central Government and the State Governments after regular settlement in the month of November, 2019 is Rs 44,742 crore for CGST and Rs 44,576 crore for the SGST.
• GST has witnessed a recovery growth of 6% in Nov 19 over Nov 18.
• Highest growth during the year of 12% is seen in the GST collection on domestic transactions.
• However, negative growth of (-) 13% was seen in the GST collection on imports.
• November 2019 collection is the third highest monthly collection since the introduction of GST, next only to April 2019 and March 2019 collections with crossing the mark of Rs one lakh crore.
