- The QRSAM missile system is indigenously developed by the Defence Research and Development Organisation, DRDO.
- The objective of the missile is to operate in the deployment mode intercepting the target mid-air.
- The features of the QASAM system includes:
- It Comprises of fully automated Command and Control System
- Have Active Array Battery Surveillance Radar
- The radars are four-walled having 360-degree coverage with a search on move and track on move capability.
- It has a single-stage solid propelled system
- The missile system will be inducted by 2021 once the developmental trials of the weapon system are successfully completed.
