- The third edition of the Chitra Bharati Film Festival (CBFF) has begun on 21st Feb 2020 at Gujarat University in Ahmedabad. The first edition of the festival was held in Indore, Madhya Pradesh, in 2016, and the second at Delhi’s Siri Fort Auditorium in 2018.
- Haryana government (Governor Satyadeo Narain Arya) has decided to open “Atal Kisan - Majdoor canteens” in all mandis and sugar mills across the state to provide affordable and cheap meals to farmers and labourers at a concessional rate of 10 rupees per plate.
- Divya Kakran became only the second Indian woman to win a gold medal at the Asian Wrestling Championships in 68 Kg Category defeating Naruha Matsuyuki in New Delhi on 20th Feb 2020. Navjot Kaur had become the first Indian woman to win a gold medal at the Asian Championships in 2018 in Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan in 65 kilograms.
- India’s proposal to include Great Indian Bustard, Asian Elephant and Bengal Florican in Appendix I of UN Convention on migratory species was unanimously accepted at the ongoing 13th Conference of the Parties to the Convention on Migratory Species (CMS) in Gandhinagar.
- RailMadad, the grievance redressal portal of Indian Railways, has been awarded Silver under Category II of National e-Governance Awards – “Excellence in providing Citizen-centric Delivery”. The National e-Governance Awards is given every year by the Department of Administrative Reforms and Public Grievances (DARPG).
- The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) has granted its final approval regarding the dilution of promoters' shareholding in the Kotak Mahindra Bank to 26% of the paid-up voting equity share capital of the bank within six months from the date of final approval of the regulator.
