- Defence Minister Rajnath Singh addressed the Third Defence Attachés Conference in New Delhi on 3rd February 2020. He announced the creation of 10 new Defence Wings to appoint 10 more Defence Attachés to strengthen India's defence diplomacy.
- The Telangana State government has opened the new virology lab at Gandhi Hospital in Hyderabad to enable taking up diagnostic tests for Novel Coronavirus in the state.
