Current Context: Airtel payment Bank has partnered with Bharati AXAGeneralInsurance to offer to health insurance products amidst of COVID-19.
- Name of the two products are: Bharti AXA Group Health Assure and Group Hospital Cash.
- Bharti AXA Group Health Assure: This health insurance product comes with fixed cover and offers 100% sum insured as a lump sum if the policyholder is diagnosed as COVID-19 positive. Whereas, if the policyholder is diagnosed negative after being quarantined for at least 14 days in a government hospital or military facility/establishment, he or she will be entitled to 50% of the sum insured. The insurance plan can be purchased at a price of Rs 499 for a fixed sum insured of Rs 25,000. The insurance product can be purchased from the banking section of ‘Airtel Thanks App’.
- Group Hospital Cash: It grants per day fixed allowances on hospitalizations with enhanced ICU Cash. The per day allowances are starting from Rs 500 or Rs 1000 paid for maximum 10 days of hospitalizations.
- Both the products are offered with no pre-medical check-up. The validity period of these insurance policies is restricted to a year and will be issued on an individual name basis only.
