Himachal Pradesh Govt adopts Three-Pronged Strategies to Fight COVID-19

Current Context: Himachal Pradesh has decided to utilize three strategies to combat COVID-19.

• The three actions by the state government have been put in use and these are: To increase testing capacity, To identify three types of institutions for treatment of COVID patients having different symptoms, and to provide adequate safety instruments to health workers.
• By increasing the testing capacity, the maximum number of people will be investigated.
• Three different institutions to cure the patients will be helpful in stopping the spreading of the virus. The people with the asymptomatic condition will be kept in COVID Care Centres while moderately symptomatic will be kept in COVID Health Centres. Patients having severe symptoms will be admitted to COVID hospitals.
• The State Government is also ensuring the adequate availability of PPE kits, facial masks, and ventilators in order to deal with any possible situation arising after the lockdown.
