Current Context: Hindustan Unilever Ltd has partnered with UNICEF to combat COVID-19 by undertaking a mass communication campaign that will inform and empower the public about the pandemic.
Partnership--- HUL and UNICEF to Combat COVID-19

  • The mass communication campaign is titled as #BreakTheChain or #VirusKiKadiTodo.
  • The campaign will unite the technical knowledge of UNICEF with the marketing expertise from HUL to create engaging communication tools that can help people change behaviors and stay safe during this time of the pandemic.
  • The campaign is based on the themes social distancing, handwashing and generosity. They will develop short informative assets across India through television, news portals and prominent social media channels.
  • HUL had also recently committed INR 100 crore towards helping India fight the COVID-19 pandemic. In addition to the Campaign, it is rolling out many initiatives to ensure citizens across the country have access to essential products such as soaps, sanitizers and toilet cleaners.
  • The Campaign will also seek support from media organizations, macro and micro social media influencers, thought leaders and celebrities in spreading the message.
