Current Context: The whole nation is under lockdown situation, amidst of COVID-19.Hence to support this and to combat COVID-19, the pharmacists who are known as ‘Swasth Ke Sipahi’ of

Pradhan Mantri Jan Aushadhi Kendra are offering essential medical services and medicines at the doorsteps of patients, handicapped and elder persons.

• This initiative by them is being carried out under Pradhan Mantri Bhartiya Janaushadhi Pariyojana (PMBJP)of GOI.
• Pradhan Mantri Bhartiya Janaushadhi Pariyojana (PMBJP): It is the campaign launched by Department of Pharmaceuticals, GOI. Its vision is to provide quality medicines at affordable prices to the community. The medicines are delivered through special Kendra called as ‘Pradhan Mantri Bhartiya Janaushadhi Kendra’. The ‘Pradhan Mantri Bhartiya Janaushadhi Kendra’ are being run under the Department of Pharmaceuticals, Ministry of Chemical and Fertilizers, Government of India by the bureau of Pharma PSUs of India (BPPI).
