Current Context: The Himachal Pradesh (HP) state government has decided to launch an employment guarantee scheme called “Mukhya Mantri ShahariRojgar Guarantee Yojna” with an aim to improve the economy of the state affected by the Coronavirus.
- The Yojna will provide 120 days of employment to those living in urban areas.
- People employed under the scheme will also be imparted training to increase their skills as and when required.
- Also, the HP government has provided Rs 2,000 to about one lakh workers registered under the Building and Other Construction Workers Board.
