Current Context: India signs MoU with Bhutan to improve the co-operation in the areas of Environment.

• The MoU was approved by a cabinet committee chaired by PM Narendra Modi.
• The MoU will promote a long term co-operation between India and Bhutan to protect environment and manage natural resources.
• Both the countries will also work together in the fields of Air pollution control, water management strategies, climate change etc.
• The tenure of the agreement is 10 years.
