- The MoU was approved by a cabinet committee chaired by PM Narendra Modi.
- The MoU will promote a long term co-operation between India and Bhutan to protect environment and manage natural resources.
- Both the countries will also work together in the fields of Air pollution control, water management strategies, climate change etc.
- The tenure of the agreement is 10 years.
