Current Context: The South African National Space Agency (SANSA) has collaborated with National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) to support human spaceflight missions to the Moon ,Mars and beyond.
- Now South Africa has thus become 4th country to host deep-space ground station after US, Spain and Australia.
- The 4th site for this mission will be integrated into an existing network of currently available 3 sites and thus will increase coverage and redundancy to analyze view for human spaceflight mission.
- The station will be operated , maintained and managed by SANSA.
